Rare Genetics arrive Fifeshire Suri Herd purchase

The entire Fifeshire herd finally arrived to Waiheke Alpaca farms after careful selection. The Herd was identified as having across the herd the consistant high quality Fleece attributes and ideal style fleece required for 100% Suri and Surl Blends under commercial production.

The Architecture identified lends itself to easy scouring having the density, finneness and lustre but not the tight locking difficult to scour well with higher fleece loss through the process. This character and style lends itself to spinning with other types of yarns giving a great tensile strength and drape in finished product retaining the lustre and silky handle.
