Mobile Shearing Service 

Keenan is now available to offer his shearing services mobile around the North Island. We are presently shearing over 5000 alpacas over the Spring/Summer.
A specially designed alpaca shearing table is used to minimise stress for the alpacas and handlers. We all know shearing is the most stressful day for any alpaca so we make sure every animal is handled with the utmost care. The padded crush on the table is safer to use for heavily pregnant females and Alpacas generally than many other shearing methods. All parts of the alpaca are shorn including lower legs, tail and head to get a lovely clean appearance everytime. Also happy to shear young cria to remove the sticky tipping which collects vegetable matter and often makes the first fleece unuseable.

Show Fleeces are a speciality and have won Sumpreme at many World  fleece Competitions, testinomy to a quality shear.

Bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.
Shearing season from October onwards.
Discount for more than 10 animals and further for over 20 alpacas.
Toe-nail Trimming included.

Alpaca Products

Waiheke Alpaca clips a large amount of fleece every year from the 200+ animals we have on farm.
We currently have fleece in storage for bulk processing.
