Supreme at Morrinsville Show

This year at the Morrinsville A&P Show 2011 our show team was smaller than usual after heavy rain hampered efforts to keep the animals clean and dry but we still had a very successful day out. Surilana Troubador triumphed with Supreme Champion Suri, a great achievement for a Senior Suri in returning fleece. The Surilana Blackbeard brothers did well again recieving first and second in the Black Junior Male Suri class and then going on to win Champion Sires Progeny.
In the Huacaya section, full ET brothers Waiheke Alejandro and Waiheke Phenomenon took out Champion and Reserve Champion Junior Huacaya with the Judge commenting on their super soft handle. Being ET brothers they competed in the Sires Progeny for Benleigh Sancho and Get of Dam for Silverstream Divinity. It was a hot contest in the Sires Progeny with over a dozen entries and the ET boys took out 2nd place, then going on to receive Champion Get of Dam for Divinity. These two boys showcase the pinnacle of our breeding program. Also doing Waiheke Alpaca proud was Ice Breaker and Sunberry who both gained first places in their respective classes and Golden Pheonix and Black Sheik with a second places amidst some top competition.
